jh09
OK i basically played through oblivion once but just the standard game. And i recentlyfancied doin it again so ive bought nights of the 9 and shivering isles but also want to run some mods. I've tried doing a bit of research for myself and have downloaded oblivion mod manager and found a decent tutoial on adding mods also i only have oblivion installled at min 1.2 dont want to do anything else till im sure of what im doing. My problem is ive found a couple of list of the best mods although i notice a lot of them require other things and thats were i'm getting pretty confused basically a jus need some1 to point me in the direction of a list or tell me themselves what im going to require and in what order it should be done and possibly of other popular mods if possible. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to read and reply to this. WoogieMonster
You must be referring to some mods mentioning patches, OBSE, or OBMM. If you just purchased KotN and Shivering Isles, install Knights first, then Shivering Isles, that should take care or your patching. You can verify the game version by hovering you mouse over the games executable file (not the shortcut icon). OBSE (Oblivion script extender) allows mods to make the game do things that would normally not be possible, like using extra hotkeys, removing borders, changing enchanments, etc. It does a ton of things and is well worth getting even if you do not need it right away. OBMM (Oblivion mod manager) is used mostly to arrange mods in an order that allows them to load without tripping over each other, for lack of a better way to explain it. Some mods have to load before (or after) some other mods or else they may conflict or crash or not function properly. I'm not sure )because I never use it), but I think it also allows you to combine certain mods into one. It's not as necessary as OBSE but I hear it is very helpful. Sorry I can't provide links to the files at the moment, but you should easily locate them using the search feature.

WoogieMonster
With Midas, one of those files is a patch, the rest are updates. 0956a appears to be the latest so that's the only one you need to download.
