Marieh Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Been wondering about this recently. i love how beautiful Skyrim is, but I honestly can't be all that bothered with continually running back and forth between villages, but I feel as if I'm missing out on the fun of Skyrim, and admiring it's beauty. So considering the whole idea about changing "fast travel" to "slow travel" - basically the AI taking control of your character, or including it alongside. Perhaps it could only follow roads, or take you to and from the major cities (perhaps riding on the back of a wagon). I don't know where to start, or if it would be possible.
ZomBBoognish Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I don't think this would actually be that hard. It seems like there will/should be a way to set predetermined routes for a horse, that when activated would lead it to different cities. This would be an awesome way to make hauling loot easier while still keeping things realistic.
Garvane Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Maybe It could be done using the pathfinding algorithm already employed by the Clairvoyance spell?
punxdog Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Great idea. The path finding is reasonable I've noticed for NPCs so would be similar for us PCs ;) Besides I'd LOVE to have a have a horse and cart drive itself there, would be awesome riding in back and since they have it in the opening sequence can see it being possible.
