gwinebleid
Hey everyone I'm kinda new here this is my first post. sorry if I'm posting it in a wrong section. I'm building my first setup for playing skyrim and new vegas with mods and enbs.I'm looking to play on 1080res with 30fps.i have no experience in computer components.I'm not from US and computer components are limited and expensive in my country. these are the set up I've chosen. dunno if they're balanced or not so any advice is more than welcome.First specs:Mother:asus z170 p lga.Cpu: intel core i5 6500 3.2ghGpu:asus gtx 1060 6gbRam:G.skill ripjaws v 8gb dual channel 3200 cl16 (2Ã4)Hard:crucial ssd mx200 256gb.Second specs:Mother: asus 979 pro gaming auraCpu:amd fx8350 4.0ghGpu:asus gtx 1060 6gbRam:g.skill dual channel 8gb 2400 cl10 (2Ã4)Hard:crucial ssd mx200 256gb. jones177
Hi Looks fine to me for playing at 1080. You could even play NewVegas & Skyrim at 4k, 60fps with that rig. Using ENB should be fine at 1080 as well. Later

Erik005
The Intel one would be the better choice right now. And windows 10 Edited October 17, 2016 by Erik005

bill8872
In my opinion I would look at a second Hard Drive, and/or a larger SSD. 250gig HD is really not a lot. Windows 10, or any OS will take up a lot of space.I have a 500gig, and a 3 terabit. my 500 gig filled up faster that I thought it would, playing Skyrim, and FO4. There are just too many good mods out there.Plus other games. So I am in the process of moving all my games to the 3 terabit HD. gwinebleid
Well no worries about that cause i have a 1tb external drive right now.and i can buy an hhd a month later . One things bothering me though, how will my cpu perform?what are the better choices cpus with 1151 sockets if I'm to upgrade it later?
bill8872
The intel core will be fine. I think that is what I am using, or very close. The same quad-core 3.2I do not know much about amd, as I feel intel is better for gaming. What is more important is the video card, and how much vram it has. And that one is also fine. gwinebleid
Will i be able to mod fallout 4 too?i know this specs can take fallout for but mods are whole a different story.although i mainly going for modding skyrim here and it seems i can do that just fine but a cherry on top like FO4 wouldn't be bad.ð
bill8872
Yes, and the 64bit version of Skyrim due out next week. If the motherboard can take more ram I would double it in time. FO4 has it issues right now, as I do find it somewhat unstable, and slow to load at time, but you should have no problems with mods that have 4k textures.ENB will drop frame rate a bit. I do not use it for Skyrim, as I have to problems getting 60fps without it.FO4 I get between 40-50. Mostly run around 50fps. That is due to ENB, and a few other .ini settings that also drop FPS. I have over 200 mods for each in Skyrim, and FO4. Edited October 17, 2016 by bill8872
