PositivelyNegative
One of my characters is a high elf and I think it would be cool if he could somehow join the Thalmor using a created side quest storyline. Yeah, they're not exactly a sympathetic bunch, but I think linking him up with the Imperials or the Nords would be unrealistic. I feel that the Thalmor are one of the more important factions in the game, especially politically, but that they were relatively underdeveloped quest-wise. [even fighting against them] I just thought there was a lot of wasted potential there - especially for players who prefer to play high and dark elves. Veronar
I Agree, but until talented modders and the construction pack come out, nothing could do such a thing. You could try to develop ideas, bbut unless you actually put into the development, i doubt you could have a sway and stronfg as that on such a thing. Oh, I didn't realize it hadn't come out yet; I am not a modder. I guess I just assumed it had already been released because of the discussion on the Blades questline mod. That's too bad then. It's to come out when - in January?

While personally I wouldn't currently want to join the Thalmor, yours is a good idea. however I'd also add the flip side to that and have an alternate questline to wipe them out (Similar to the choice of joining the Legion or the Stormcloaks where you take one side against the other). Join the Thalmor and go around hunting for anyone worshiping Talos or doing something else to defy the White Gold Concordat/Thalmor interests. Join an anti-Thalmor movement that hunts down and kills Thalmor in an effort to drive them out of Skyrim.
AltmerLover1313
I want a pro Thalmor mod very badly. I can't wait until the construction set comes out so our lovely modders can have fun with it. I just know that there is going to be a lot of Thalmor mods available then (hopefully most of them are pro Thalmor :P). Our Altmer need a faction to be with! They need to help and serve their people! ......And come to think of it, a Psijic mod would be very interesting as well.
hsynhkn
That's another thing with Skyrim. It's almost useless to choose an Altmer. (I don't mean specialties of them) Most of high elves (I don't know maybe all) are supporting Thalmor against Talos and worshippers of him, that makes if you're an Altmer, you will be against most of Skyrim. If you do Dragonborn quests, it makes nonsense. Also you said, there're no quests for Altmer, especially Thalmor. They're the most powerful faction in game but also unjoinable. If you do Dragonborn quests, it makes nonsense. Race and politics got nothing with being a dragonborn. It is simply a gift given to you by Akatosh, which is given regardless of race or political stand. Your main job in Skyrim is not the civil war, it is the dragons. So, lore speaking, you would not care wether X, Y or Z wins. Also, you are not a Thalmor if you are a Altmer. You could be born in Cyrodiil and raised there, having no interest in the Aldmeri Dominion. You could be a person liking the Empire, and doesn't understand why your brethren is so pissed. Personally, I've played an High Elf Battlemage, with an attitude as a General, in every single TES games. It's been quite challenging in some games. However, I see no problems in him being the Dragonborn. He is a leader, he is a master of the arcane art, and is an expert warrior. Who else should take down Alduin?Though I do see the point. I felt an urge to play a Dark Elf a lot in Morrowind, and an Imperial in Oblivion. Now in Skyrim I've had problems seing anybody but my High Elf, or my Nord, being a Dragonborn.
