GECK Crash and game will not launch

Okay, so i got two issues recently:

 

First, when using the Geck and i bring up any sort of render window that has an npc in it the geck will instantly crash.

 

second, whenever i try to launch fallout new vegas nothing happens. i get the window to press play, i press play, the window disappears and nothing happens.

 

I've tried some fixes and at this point I'm stumped, I would be very grateful if someone would help bounce some ideas around with me.

Sounds like you're a victim of the WDDM 2.1 update to windows 10. Try using the NVAC beta, queued has been working on a fix.

Do you have ENB or SweetFX ? You need to disable them when using GECK.

 

Also codec packs and FFDShow can interfere.

This happen to me if I not launch steam in administrator mode. But I doubt that is the case.

RoyBatterian - really? thats odd because i use an ENB and it used to be fine when using the Geck, ill try disabling it anyway. As for codec packs and FFDShow, that may have something to do with it.. ill have a look.

 

YanL - I tried running FNV in admin, but I didn't think of Steam, ill give this a try
