Omeletter Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Waaaait a minute... if these tombs and caves have been sealed shut for a very long time... Then how exactly there are candles, torches, and open fires illuminating the path for you?
hymhym Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Do not pay any attention to the man behind the curtain.
cooltrickle Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Perhaps the player should have to light the way himself? Just take a torch into a dungeon and use it to light the various torches on the walls and such.
Thoreai Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 The undead keep lighting them for centuries!...honestly im not really bothered but considering nearly all dungeons are well lit, torches are kinda useless...if these catacombs would be the abyss of darkness as they normally would and the draugr wouldnt cause noise, that would be a nice horror atmosphere....maybe someone will make such a mod.

BrknSoul Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 A wizard (an argonian wizard, naturally) did it!
vertex23 Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 "We want to amaze the player with each of the caves and dungeons so much so that they don't think, 'Who is lighting the torches?'" I think that's how the quote went in one of their videos

Or perhaps ancient technology, some sort of magic infused gems that illuminate with different colored light depending on the shade... Edited December 13, 2011 by OnlyOneWing
Vagrant0 Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Nevermind the torches... Explain how contemporary literature appears in these sealed tombs, or how dwarven constructions have elven arrows. Then there are potions and ingredients which are somehow still fresh... I'm half tempted to think that it's all staged. Like someone knew you were coming and meticulously placed bits of stuff around and lots of shiny things just to distract you from entertaining any thoughts about how you are being directed around like a puppet.
Tweetybird Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 No no...don't you know that the draugr have a secret way out and occasionally go shopping for all the stuff you find in the tombs ("what's the expiration date on that potion again???") and for oil to refill the lamps?
