Yickfou
So while I was at work today I was wishing that skyrim had multiplayer. I know this is a divisive topic and everyone says multiplayer cannot be done. But what if we had something similar to multiplayer that helped make skyrim feel less lonely. Here is my idea... Soft MultiplayerAll participating players would have to use the same mod and no others. This is just a quick example of how it might work. Let's say we had a new guild called "The Heroes Guild"This guild would be populated by NPCs who dolled out quests like most guilds but it would also have an annoncement board. On this board player'scould communicate with eachother and possibly even assign eachother quests. The game would update once a day, somehow merging and sharing data between each player's save data and updating the ESP before each play session, probably through a chunk of third party software. Let's take it a step farther. We have "The Heroes City" ( I know lame ass name)In this city there are 30+ residences. The game is modded to make all NPC merchants not carry gear above, say level 10, and buy things at absolute crap prices. But each residence in the player's city is owned by other players and those players can have access to any function of the aforementioned heroes guild, but also can use their mirrored residence as a storefront to buy and sell goods with other players. I'm no programmer and I understand this would be very challenging but if someone had the desire to try and create oblivion multiplayer by creating a real time shadow puppet npc in two players worlds then maybe it would be more successful if someone backed that idea up and turned that real time multiplayer into 24 hour turn based socialization of Skyrim. Whaddya think?
