ARTOO DECO! (with pics!)

Now I know modders have to hear from us "gimmie gimme" more than they'd like to - but hear me out first. I am a graphic designer and an event coordinator at a local convention. As such, I meet fascinating artists, creators, and people of extraordinary talent. A friend I met recently named Kurt Zimmerman, a prop builder of legendary skill who's main focus has been Star Wars droids - of every screen-accurate detail in various models. His newest project is ARTOO DECO. This Atompunk/ArtDeco R2 unit.

This follower would fit right in with the 50's deco feel and could have possibilites with Science and terminals... opening doors, maybe even projecting decoys. But I'm getting ahead of myself here, if anyone is interested in making this mod, please let me know. If there's interest out there I'd like to get his blessing on it. I haven't learned anything about the GECK or Blender but if I could contribute in digital images or Ps in some way please let me know.
