OMOD I need help!!

Omod is a format used by OBMM, not a mod or program by itself. OBMM (and omod) are not NEEDED by any mods. I think what you want is OBSE, Oblivion Script Extender. This is a program that is required by some mods because it 'extends' the scripting ability of the game to allow a modder to do things that were not allowed in the original. you can find the latest version, along with detailed instructions here http://obse.silverlock.org/

When you start OBSE, it loads and automatically starts oblivion.

Please read the instructions first. This is not a mod and does not install like a mod. It will be much simpler if you do.

On the other hand if it is OBMM, Oblivion Mod Manager, with its included omod format you are looking for, It's located here http://timeslip.chorrol.com/obmm.html

Again, this is not a mod, but a separate program that must be loaded and run before Oblivion starts. Note that you do not have to use the omod format to use OBMM, it works with the .esp files that most mods use too.

One of the options in OBMM is to start Oblivion WITH OBSE so you don't need to start one, then the second, then Oblivion, just start OBMM and select what mods you want enabled or disabled then select the start oblivion with OBSE. Again read all of the information available.

I recommend both OBSE and OBMM

I hope this helps.

omod is not a program or a mod. it is a file format for mods. To use omod you first need OBMM. OBMM allows you to convert the esp format mod files to the omod format. Some people like the omod format and some do not.

You don't open an omod file. you put in into the mods folder in the OBMM directory where if you have OBMM enabled it will use that file instead of the .esp file that most mods are in. This is not the same place that most mods install to. They are put into the oblivion\data folder.

You do open the OBMM program before you start Oblivion. There is an option to launch Oblivion from the OBMM program. However, it is not necessary. you can close the OBMM program then start Oblivion in the usual way and the omods will be there.

I have never seen a mod that said it required omod. However, some mods may come with an omod version along with the esp version or may be labeled omod ready. An omod ready mod has most of the work done to convert it to omod, but will still be usable in the esp version.

If the mod has an omod version, then all you need to do is copy it into the Oblivion\OBMM\Mods folder after you unzip it. The OBMM\mods folder will automatically be created when you install the OBMM program.

Be sure to read the instructions on installing OBMM before you start as it installs differently than a mod.
