(potential spoilers) Repeatable CTD when Potema's door opens

I'm doing the Wolf Queen Awakened quest, and I'm pretty much at it's end. after the battle in her sanctum (the one with all the draugr) the final door will open, and as soon as it starts opening the game will crash. No way around it.

Did anyone else experience it? And if yes, how did you solve?

is there any way to access an error log or something to see what is wrong?

ive solved it for myself.

I made an quicksafe after killing the last deadra lord.

Then i copied the safegame to an laptop that can barely run the game and made another safegame when the door was opened.

After copying it back to the pc the game went on without an hitch.

maybe its something in the videocard drivers or other pc hardware.

Proc i5 2500

Mem 8gb

Videocard Nvidia GT250

HDD 120gb SSD

Windows 7 Ult 64bit

Laptop has

Proc 7200 C2D

Mem 4gb

HDD 500gb 5400Rpm

Videocard X2300 ATI

Windows Vista HP 64bit

Apparently she uses the Yarlclothes03 mesh, and any mods will cause the crash. I had some, er, tasteful clothing mods which meant it crashed every time for me.

I went to the yarlclothes03 folder (program files x86 steam steamapps common skyrim data meshes clothes), and removed (cut to desktop fwiw) all files from that folder.

Played that part through (no crashes) and when I was in a different area copied the files back.

All golden :)

Thanks so much! This is exactly what caused the CTDs in my game. Took yarlclothes03 out of the meshes folder and it worked! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am aware that this post is old, but your solution has helped my problem here too. Big thanks. works like a charm.

I even didn't noticed that she's using that mesh. I do know that the game like to crash if there is a similar mod for a mesh ...

again big thanks
