Mahare
So you play through Dead Money, and Elijah mentions that the nice shiny rifle he gave you was scavenged through parts at the Big Empty. But he said he made subsequent models. At the very least, would there not have been an improved Holorifle? Elijah has his faults, but I don't think stupidity is one - so why is it that when you fight him, he's using a Gauss Rifle? You'd think he'd have a second, upgraded one instead. I know he gripes about giving his Holorifle to the player, but it might be due to his stinginess. Also, the Holorifle was built to circumvent the security protocols in the Sierra Madre. So how did he manage to smuggle the Gauss Rifle in? Unless it was locked away somewhere, which I highly doubt, he wouldn't have been able to get it in. And why are there no Holorifles in the Big Empty? He also mentioned building prototypes if I am correct. So shouldn't there be a prototype Holorifle or two around Elijah's work area? Instead, he gets a special LAER (not mentioned at all in Dead Money) and no Holorifles. I mean, I could understand if they were non-functioning Holorifles - he mentioned that the damaging portion at least were based off the holographs in the villa. However, that technology was based off Big Empty technology too, so he mighta just said that so the player could relate to it. So jist of the idea - a couple Holorifles in the Big Empty for players who have both Old World Blues and Dead Money. And at least a Holorifle for Elijah instead of the Gauss Rifle. Heck, for any feeling ambitious, a Holorifle with the stats of the old one coded into it and three new mods (the old ones did not show up visibly). It's a lot to ask, and I'm more suggesting than requesting it, but I feel it would be an interesting thought. Adding a few more Holorifles would simply fit into Elijah's lore better. Kry11ic
I wouldn't mind taking up this task... But, unfortunately, I don't have any of the DLC's for the pc, only the xbox :(
Mahare
Well, I mean...the Big Empty one is easy enough to do. And I THINK giving Elijah a Holorifle could be easy also. The "Upgraded Holorifle"? Not so much, as that would involve actual meshing and texturing.
Kry11ic
well, giving him the holorifle is as easy as breathing. But, depending on how much of that holorifle you want changed, I could easily change the base name and damage of it. But if you want it to look different, then yes, that's going to take messing and texturing, which I don't know how to do :\
Mahare
Gah. Almost had it finished when my G.E.C.K. crashed. Figures. Easier change than I thought. Two versions - one hard-coded to him and the other that drops for loot. So it's not too difficult, just time consuming it seems. When I get patience again I'll do it again XD
