A cat such as I love mice, we chase that mouse to house where we close out vermin, being the MS and Beth teamed up on all the cat's, one might think there was some sort of conspiracy ?

Oh look, Nvidea..and MS and Sony ,oh my, no more cheese is left for the mice, and the cat starves.

  1. Fallout 4 is an Xbox game

Xbox is a Microsoft venture

Steam is owned by the same company that owns the publisher "Bethesda"

Hardware manufactures could not keep up with internal deals as they were not made public in time.

Device composts were already ON the market prior to established standards be diverted to windows 10 release.

Windows 10..Own Phone was a complete flop, they were forced to remove their own devices due to lack of communications.

The push to sell Toys more of them and an excuses for that has now been seen, one can not simply ignore the marketing strategies in place.

The fight goes on. So, we pick up our feet and continue to try try and fix the messes left to us to fix.

Every one is now involved.

One big happy mess.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to perform the windows 7 test, but in the meantime I'm trying to see if Kingston support will help me out with the SSD. I'm curious to see what kind of speeds you get from yours when it arrives - mine is performing less than 30% as fast as advertised.

That's on par with today's profit margins.

A new car is advertised to so many MPG's when in reality, it's half of the sticker postings.

I have yet to see a luxury automobile get the advertise mileage claimed.

Kingston is a good product, the company does try but , the technology is new and the incompatibilities are all new.

It's best described like this, memory used in Machines is said to need to be matched. yes, you can run miss matches ram, not a good thing to do but you can.

Not all ram will survive heavy loads, some times a stick can fail, does that mean that companies product is bad?

No, it means you have a failed component, that's all.

Look at the last fiasco from Samsung's Note 7.

Same sung has an excellent track record ,and so far the only company standing behind it's product.

No known cause of the failure is yet known nor could be duplicated by them.

My opinion, even if it does not matter...is things to in fact fail.

No two systems will be exactly the same, no 2 PC's will be exactly the same.

No 2 systems will be configured the same way.

here in lies the issue, for mass marketing to work, all systems MUST be the same, so the software is designed to match that of what the targeted market will be.

in this case..Xbox.

That means the drivers, all software designed for an application for that target is the same.

A plat form to divide different platforms is required for all the differences to comply with the marketing strategies in place, AKA Valve, steam is that plat form.

What we see here on this web site is constant reluctance to Eliminate that control platform <<<<< see the fight now? understand now why things break so much?

Well, I am not in support of any particular platform, just in support of how things are supposed to be working.

reasons things are so strict here. You can not Eliminate the source code and expect things to work correctly.

Look at what the Nmm team has to do in order to be in compliance with all the games currently support by it?

Think that's easy? with out corporate help, it is impossible to cover all of the games hosted here. Not gonna happen.

Steam is already in place, it is the control platform required, all assets are controlled thru it.

Bethesda's attempt at controlling mods is based on Xbox, Not PC's, they are using conversion software distributed VIA the ck and is accessible only thru logging in to their system to release the Encryption codes to enable correct mod making, and they get your mod, your ideas for their Corporate needs and use.

AKA a controlled platform for their assets sold thru partners with MS.

The very reason mod (A) on Bethesda works and it's brother Mod (B) hosted here does not work is due to these facts.

Damm, it sounds like an outer limits episode lol.

well, it's definitely not what I'm supposed to be getting. I've looked at other consumers' benchmarks of the same SSD and they get more or less the advertised speed. they get 400-420 read speed pretty consistently. whereas I get 100 read - and at 90 write, my SSD has the same write speed as my HDD. definitely not working as intended.

I tried to talk to kingston support about it but he basically just gave me a massive PDF file about SSD performance, which might as well be written in chinese considering how little of it I can understand.

ok, this is controlled by the mother boards chip set ,that flash you did is the possible culprit though you did mention you flashed the bios due to this issue so that means the problem has been there from the start.

The only way I can see it, the bios settings you have is a photo shot VIA the cell phone.

In the bios, there should be settings to configure the drive...CAUTION: !! don't change any thing in it on this ssd car while loaded, the board WILL write to the boot sector because your using an EFI system, it's immediate.

Normal hdds use GPT root, older systems do not, windows 7 as far as I know does not.

But, what I would like to see are screen shots of the Bios settings only..I repeat only pictures.

IF you change GPT on windows ten system, you WILL loose access to that drive. So don't.

If I see what I expect, there is / should be a setting in there that can alter the speed factors..the problem is the board is not targeting an ssd card, it's designed for platters.

is it possible?

indecently, this is your bottle neck:

That pretty much tells the story.

So let's see if we can fix this without destroying your card.
