Bruhmis
Rage is one of their games, and it's engine does not exhibit these problems, so it comes down to the dev teams mistakes.funny you mention that. I remember when skyrim was first announced, I was positive they were going to announce shortly after that the game would be using IDTech 5, and the gamebryo plague would finally be over. I thought, "so much money was spent on this new engine, there's no way they'll keep trying to build on top of the sinking ship that is gamebryo". That was a different, more hopeful time. running without DLC might be the one thing I haven't actually tried. I'll try that right now. one thing I should emphasize is that this problem I'm having seems to be severely influenced by the presence of static meshes. the more static meshes there are, the more it stutters. when there's only trees and rocks, it's not that bad - and since trees and rocks aren't static meshes, but part of the map terrain, it suggests to me that the game is not loading static meshes the way its supposed to. also, one more detail to note: on my mechanical HDD, I had a copy of the game that I stored there as a backup before this issue started occuring. since I copied and pasted this folder into a different directory, it remains stagnate - meaning it hasn't been updated nor had any DLC installed since before this problem occured. using a REDACTED .exe, I've tried playing the game from that folder to see if the issue was present. it was present and it was much worse than the SSD. so, what this means is that we can rule out this problem being caused by nuka world or any game updates. Bruhmis
No mods ? raw, and only raw default game files, should allow zero stuttering. this is one of the first things I tried, though. I completely deleted the game through steam, installed it in a new directory, launched it, put the graphics on lowest and made a new, unmodded save. the issue was identical. is it possible that somehow the game is trying to use a mod still? because of a registry entry or something like that? Bruhmis
I have the game on steam. the only reason I used the REDACTED was to temporarily prevent the game from communicating with steam, so I could play the exact version I had before the problem started. Bruhmis
I don't understand what the problem is. I have a legal, purchased copy of the game on steam. I replaced the .exe as a way to troubleshoot the game. I haven't told anybody how to do it, linked to it, or given any information about piracy that everyone didn't already have. if I edit out all traces of this troubleshooting step, I'll be diminishing the usefulness of this thread to other people who have this issue. Purr4me
What I can say is that I would not know nor have any experiences with the sort of thing that goes around stuff. The way I keep it is off line and edit the config files to tell the program to ignore the requests. But in doing so, you cut your self off from decryption files used to edit the games file structures correctly. There are people claiming some data is not showing up but is clearly loading, the over haul mods in loose file formats do indeed cause excessive loads on the engine, some in loose form will kill the game cold, but loads in a ba2 archive just file. Purr4me
windows in fact might have been the faulting point as far as signatures go.what do you mean by signatures? Depending on the windows update, security files checks file signatures of the executable s on the system, the ;last time around, it checks now all *.exe files on run. Remember just a while ago, you could not run direct x installer? where it should run. It told you point blank as it read it's structure and signature and prevented it from installing, yet most of these games were built on that very code.
