Changing where weapons are holstered

Is there a way to change where a weapon is kept with out changing it from one hand to two? I'm trying to keep my machete sheathed upside down on my back like Eli in The Book of Eli.

Can anyone help with this?

I'd settle for simply putting the machete on my back without it becoming a two-hand weapon.

You can also choose different locations when you export from blender. This may set the same thing, I don't know. I have never tried either method.
