stebbinsd
With skyrim, it was pretty straightforward. Every merchant had a secret chest that was trapped behind normally impassable walls. If you could use the "tcl" console command, or some other clipping glitch, to get to the chest, you could add and remove things to that chest just like you could any other container, using console commands, trading through your own inventory, or any other way of manipulating container contents. Fallout 4, however, doesn't appear to use the "merchant chest" system. Whatever controls a merchant's inventory, one thing is clear: There's no visible chest anywhere. That said, are there any console commands I can use to manipulate a vendor's items and caps? Namely ... is there a way I can reset their inventories without having to wait 48 hours? EveningTide
You can make a little quest script, add the merchant to a quest alias, and call reset on the actor via quest stage. Resets them entirely. I assume beth uses a different vendor inventory system than from skyrim. In the case of Skyrim, I think they went with the outside-bounds chest approach to prevent people killing them and just taking all their goods for free. Moraelin
Additem on them. They sell everything they have in their personal inventory too, just about except the shirt on their back, including the ammo for their own gun and whatnot.
