tazmo
hey all,has anyone started the game and just done a quest line from start to finish like the dark brotherhood or companions without doing any of the side / radiant quests or main ?? and without talking to anyone so you dont pick any up.I know its difficult to do, but I would like to start the game again and just do the quest lines 1 at a time to complete them before doing the main quest line and any side / radient quests Stormbringer
Matth85
I started doing side quests, and the odd guild quest. Heck, 200 houres in, and I have not done more than 3 quests in the main quest! I really enjoy doing side quests. Doing the early is better, for RP reasons. When you are the hero of Skyrim, being both a dragon slayer, listener and an archmage, running errands for the lowlife in cities feels weird. For some awesome experience: Start the game. Don't use exploits. Choose a playstyle, like Warrior, Mage or Assassin. Then start doing all sidequests in each town you get to. Heck, I hit level 35 on my mage before I was done with all the quests in Whiterun and Riverwood! From there I went to WInterhold and did sidequests, followed by the college for a few quests there. Also, remember to limit fast travelling. Just walking, meeting dragons, meeting random people and exploring caves is really awesome! Skyrim is what you want it to be. A fast game? Go do guilds and main quest. A long-action game? Go do side quests, guilds and dadreic shrines. A infinite long game that gives houres upon houres of fun? Don't fast travel, do everything! tazmo
Thanx Matth,I basically did that so far, I started picking up side quests all over the place, have now done dark brotherhood, companion, college and almost done thieves as well, and only done a couple of main quest bits, visited High Hrotgar and need to get the bugle / trumpet thingy. My map seems almost full, only a couple of black items I hav'nt investigated yet, I have killed at least a dozen or so dragons, found loads of armour and weapon bits and am now at level 56 and going strong.I just wondered if anyone had done it that way round..!you know, i might follow your example and start again and just do as many side quests as possible by visiting town after town and then do the brotherhood, companion, college and thieves before doing the main quest, by tramping around skyrim and investigating everything i find....
