IdentityAJB
Before I start with my request, this is not the same request as Real Time Settler. The goal of my request is not really to make your own towns, camps, or forts, but to instead implement better control of followers. If you are looking for Real Time Settler requests, go here: RTS - Real Time Settler RTS mod RTS - Real Time Strategy Mod With this modification, the hope is that one can control a companion, summon, and or pet by an overhead camera view that allows you to select your followers and give commands such as ATTACK, MOVE, SNEAK, SNEAK ATTACK, HEAL, PICKPOCKET, OPEN DOOR, LOOT and so forth. The mod would basically allow a mode to convert combat to something that looks like a Dungeons & Dragons inspired RPG such as Neverwinter Nights or Dragon Age. CONTROLSThe controls for this setup would be as follows: RTS TOGGLE - a key to bring up RTS mode which would consist of an unlocked high camera that looks over the player and the cellSELECT - a key or left mouse button press to select the follower or followers to prompt them for actionsACTION - a key or right mouse button press and hold that would bring up a drop list or wheel for commands. Once the player releases this button, the action is selected and the follower performs the command. CAMERAThe camera will most likely be one of the harder things to manage in making this modification due to the glitches that could arise with different sized cells, but I am not exactly sure about this. For the camera, it will be up to the mod author whether the mode should pause all action and allow the user to designate commands or simply give commands in real time. Flexibility would be great. Also, the camera would most likely function like the 'tfc' (fly camera) console command except be locked to a certain point while allowing the use of the WASD keys for rotating and zooming in and out. FINAL STATEMENTThese are just ideas for the modification, so please, if you are interested in taking up the mod, do as you think best in creating the mod as I do not have the talent or knowledge to put this together myself. If you are interested in the modification, please comment in this thread and post a link to your new Mod Talk forum thread so we can see the potential or the progress for the modification. IxionInc
So what you're talking about is this?http://www.fallout3n...ile.php?id=7070 Yeah. I want it too bub. I'm hoping that it won't JUST be a normal village settle mod, even though I would be happy with that. What I REALLY want though is noted here: http://www.thenexusf...ost__p__3912074 EDIT: Oh. You're talking like a REAL RTS. Nevermind. Edited December 14, 2011 by IxionInc

IdentityAJB
Could anyone at least help me out by recommending a few good UI or gameplay mod authors? Preferably a mod author who has included new functions/features into the game. This would really help so I could drive this a little more. I think this could have other uses as well if developed further and could even be used for those Real Time Settler - like mods such as better battles, war campaigns, and easier construction via the over-the-top view.
