Well, I'm one of the voice actors for the mod. I'm in email contact with Bongfu so I'll ask him if he is sorting out the ban situation. If he cannot come back here for whatever reason, PM me and I'll update you as to the status when things start moving and the home of the mod if it cannot be posted here.

 

Bongfu and SgtPepper were banned as a result of a misunderstanding between the admins and them. As far as I know, their ban appeals have been rejected, so we can only hope that they will continue the mod elsewhere. I have seen some of the stuff they were doing with the Pre-CK method of using the GECK and I was super excited(I am a real life friend of Bongfu). Last I spoke with him, the rest of the team is pretty disheartened by this incident. Bongfu said he may go ahead and release a mod project he had been working on since before SGE. (check daftmuse.net, his personal website, there is no more mention of SGE). However, he said that he is going to continue planning and gathering a team for a big project in the future, one possibility is it will be SGE or something very similar.

Awesome, thanks for the update. Sad to hear their appeals were rejected. Let em know they have a lot of people looking forward to this mod, they certainly have the support despite this conflict.

Hm... did anyone get the DL? If you did, can someone pm me the file? Sad to say I missed out...

 

hey... if you don't mind me asking, what was this... "misunderstanding," anyway?

 

 

This is the dl I managed to get before it was removed, but I'm not sure if I missed anything (it was the only available file so maybe not).

What exactly can the file do? Isn't it just a bunch of .txt files?? How much is changed with this alpha version?

 

 

I'm not entirely sure, I honestly haven't tried it yet - Only dl'd it just to have it, waiting to play the mod post-SCK. If you have the Nexus Mod Manager, on the Mods tab click the first button to add mod from file and add the rar. It'll show up and you can enable it. After that, I have no idea. I might give it a test tomorrow to see what's done in it.

They are all BAT files, interesting... but am I supposed to run them during game... or will they be run automatically via script? I wonder....

 

I have no idea, still haven't given it a go.

 

My suggestion to anyone interested: Wait for the release after the SCK releases sometime in January. There won't be many options until then anyway. If you're able to wait until then, it'll be worth it (I hope, but very optimistic) :)
