Davis237834
Hey Folks, i can use some help. I decided to model this: http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i373/Davis237834/Imperial_rifle_2.jpg Idea is a breach loading rifle, you pull back the bolt, and the breach cylinder pops up, ejecting the expended cartridge. Insert new shell, push down the breach till it locks into place, then lock the bolt back into place, cocking the rifle. (I know guns don't belong in the Skyrim Universe, but neither should steam powered robots, IMO) Issue is, i don't know how to go about animating this process, and i looked in the Fallout/FalloutNV forums for reload animations, but couldn't find any. Does anyone know of an animation tutorial? Or does anyone know how to do this and/or would like to do this? thanks.
Simpson3k
Hm i am not against guns in Skyrim in general but i think that guns with selfpowered ammo goes abit to far. What about a more early version of a gun with powder and bullets seperatly?
IdentityAJB
Can you use the animations for the Hunting Rifle from Fallout New Vegas / Fallout 3? I think those are similar, right? Except the breach is on the side not the top...not sure if you want the cartridge to expel into your face. I like this mod idea.
Davis237834
I think muzzle loading would be too difficult to animate, and also i don't think it would be very fun to use ingame. as for the breach, tilting the rifle to the side when you pull the bolt. Simpson3k
Why doing half stuff then?^^ Request an enclave shock armor and plasma rifle right from the start ^^
Beastrider69
I was just going to ask if someone would make guns for the game ) . Was thinking very old school... black power, to keep in the timeline of the game. Duel wielding Pistols would be very cool, Oblivion was not set up for duel wielding but skyrim is. Will keep a eye on this post to see were it goes
gengrimm
NO guns please. Crossbows are ok.

shadow56
I think you would be getting away from the lore of Skyrim if rifles were added. During the time frame of Skyrim rifles had not been invented. I know many rifle mods were developed for the Elder Scrolls Oblivion and they were stupid in my opinion. Again it was the wrong era for those weapons. But to each there own I guess.
torisannon
This is an incredibly juicy idea that I've been playing around with myself. Its an excellent idea, and one with some historical precedence. If you wanted to keep it more primitive, add a flintlock to the right side along with a lock-plate and flash pan/frizen, and it can very easily be worded as a "Breech loading flintlock" which accepts not a metallic cartridge but a pre-packaged paper cartridge instead. There is precedence in this sort of weaponry with the British Ferguson Rifle and the Civil War era American Sharps Carbine. I love the idea and the look of the gun, its excellent thus far. It would be a perfect addition to a combination of mods I've put together for myself, calling them the 1st Skyrim Volunteers of the Imperial Rifle Corps. ( developed a small amount of lore behind if anyone is curious). Regardless, please contact me if you'd wish to discuss anything, I'm very interested in this idea of yours.
