PowderdToastMan
Any texture that increases the actual detail will have an impact on preformance. If you have a texture that simply replaces the color or has a different look but is the same level of actual detail as the vanilla version, it will have no impact on preformance. Anything that says - hi res, should throw up a red flag for preformance decreases.
AlexNord
Unless the mod creator explicitly states that you need the 4 GB ram mod, I can't see why you shouldn't be able to run any mod you want. The only time I ever suffer from a drop in performance is in dungeons so I haven't installed any hires retextures for them. Other than that I haven't found anything I can't run and I'm playing on a real toaster until I sort some serious hardware issues out on my other machine. Currently running: AMD Athlon II X4 645 @3.2GHzNVIDIA GeForce 8400GS2 GB RAM You'll be fine .
