saltyplum
Hi folks, I've done a search and even googled for an answer but haven't come up with anything. I already have a bunch of mods installed, some use esp's, and also a number of texture replacers and so on. Can I install and use NMM as is, and will NMM pick up and recognise these mods? Or does everything have to be uninstalled first before using NMM? Please tell me its not the latter. :) Any advice or help appreciated. salty
elvinkun
It's not the latter. Just not sure if it will notify you about new versions of the already-installed mods and how the NMM uninstall will work, haven't tryed that. As in, you will be able to turn then on-off, but the rest will have to be done manually I guess. Edited December 14, 2011 by elvinkun
PowderdToastMan
The NMM will recoginze the mods properly without any issues. For replacers you'll need to mae sure and reset archive invalidation using the tool in the NMM each time you install a new texture replacer. Otherwise, there will be no problems. Mae sure your esp's are below your syrim.esm in your load order though.
saltyplum
Ok thanks very much for the info guys. Installed now and yes, it does seem to have recognized all the mods already. The only thing I'm not sure I understand is about the archive invalidation process. Do I need to reset this before I play skyrim for the first time after just having installed NMM? Or only if I add new textures from this point on? Thanks in advance salty
