NaoKitTech Posted October 26, 2016 Share Posted October 26, 2016 So I started using a tail mod and removed the default tail on the lykaios mod, it looks fantastic and the tail physics are great, but it is just an item, is there any way to permanently attach it to the character so scripts that remove all items won't affect it nor will I be able to unequip it? It would be better to talk with people on game specific boards. I think the best way would be to add it to the race. We did that in the past by combining parts, which left a empty entry, though there may be other ways to do that. If it's left as an item maybe an object script on the tail that stops a quest from running. If the tail is taken off, which it would be set to hidden (so it's not in inventory) this game mode quest script would run to put it back on. It's a theoretical prototype though. I believe quest scripts can delay a bit, unlike game mode scripts which would run once for every frame in the game. So the idea would be to do it elegantly as not to dump an amount of unnecessary code on the game. I'm not a specialist modder in coding though.
