ByoBlade
Help me out here! I just took off my armor and noticed I was a floating head, no body. I don't know if this were due to a mod I downloaded or what so I removed every newly downloaded mod I got. Someone please tell me what might be wrong. If I need to reinstall, well that would just suck beyond all belief because I would need EVERY mod and EVERY character back.
ResidentWeevil2077
An invisible body is usually the result of a missing mesh, meaning Oblivion is being told by a plugin to look for a mesh that cannot be found. If you need to reinstall, don't fret as Oblivion only removes itself and its main files. It won't touch saved games or mods.
ByoBlade
One problem... When I click uninstall it will say that the uninstall program is not found. It says run the setup.exe to uninstall. I try it in the control panel with add or remove programs. But when I click remove it just does nothing. ResidentWeevil2077
I think the registry values got buggered somehow - can't explain. On the "Start' menu (under "Programs->Bethseda Softworks->Oblivion"), there should be a shortcut called "Uninstall Oblivion". It doesn't link to an uninstall program specifically, but it links to the setup program that allows you to make changes. Perhaps you should use the main Oblivion windows that pops up after inserting the DVD into the disk drive.
gamemaster79
If you can't figure out a way to fix your problem, then follow the link that I've posted under "Problems with Reinstalling Oblivion", and follow the guide to remove all traces of Oblivion from your computer. You should also make copies of the character saves, and mode files that you want to keep before deleting the game. Cheers,Gamemaster79
