bigPIEN
Alright, after 3 months of troubleshooting and trying all combinations of 200 mods, settling for 93 of them, taking every precaution, and being as lazily thorough as possible, I've given up.I understand that my laziness is the most likely cause of the crashes, I am not a modding god,or even an adept one, and honestly, I'm just looking for a quick bailout. I still feel as if I've patchedup, fixed memory CTDs, avoided script heavy mods, and kept the game as stable as can be, but obviously, what I've done isn't enough, as the game continues to crashes every time. TL;DR I'm not an expert at modding and I'm looking for a solution and some advice on how to avoid more issues in the future. This is my load order Skyrim.esm=1Update.esm=1Dawnguard.esm=1HearthFires.esm=1Dragonborn.esm=1Nock2Tip.esm=1johncena.esp=0reduced distance npc greetings.esp=0Skyrim Particle Patch for ENB - Flame Atronach Fix.esp=1Natural Lighting and Atmospherics.esp=1Vividian - Extended Weathers - NLA.esp=1SRG Enhanced Trees Activator.esp=1Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul.esp=1RealisticWaterTwo.esp=1RealShelter.esp=1Grass Clipping Fix.esp=1Unbelievable Grass Two.esp=1KS Hairdo's.esp=1Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp=1RealisticWaterTwo - Legendary.esp=1SMIM-Merged-All.esp=1RealisticWaterTwo - Waves.esp=1Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp=1Guard Dialogue Overhaul.esp=1ksnpcoverhaul.esp=1Immersive Weapons.esp=1Immersive Sounds - Compendium.esp=1aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp=1Wildcat - Combat of Skyrim.esp=1VioLens.esp=1HeartBreaker.esp=1HonedMetal.esp=1Beards.esp=1Brows.esp=1KS Hairdos - HDT.esp=1towConversation.esp=1PC Head Tracking - MCM.esp=1PC Head Tracking - Patch.esp=1WondersofWeather.esp=1Insignificant Object Remover.esp=1DeadlySpellImpacts.esp=1DeadlySpellImpacts - Two Fire.esp=1Nock2Tip.esp=1Immersive Music Temples.esp=1Immersive Music.esp=1RealisticWaterTwo - Waves - Dawnguard.esp=1EmbersHD.esp=1Equipping Overhaul.esp=1prettypotions.esp=1prettypotionsDB.esp=1DSerArcheryGameplayOverhaul.esp=1Original Opening Scene.esp=1SkyUI.esp=1RaceMenu.esp=1RaceMenuPlugin.esp=1MainMenu.esp=1dD - Enhanced Blood Main.esp=1dD-Dragonborn-Dawnguard-EBT Patch.esp=1dD-Reduced Splatter Size.esp=1dD-Reduced Wound Size.esp=1HDTPhysicsWeaponSling.esp=1Watercolor_for_ENB_RWT.esp=1ISCompendium Enhanced Blood Patch.esp=1WhiterunExterior.esp=1Remodeled Armor.esp=1imp_helm_legend.esp=1Archer's.esp=1dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp=1FNIS.esp=1FNIS_PCEA2.esp=1dD-No Spinning Death Animation.esp=1TrueStorms.esp=1RSPatch.esp=1TrueStorms-NLA.esp=1DesyncBirdsOfPrey.esp=0HighHrothgarWindowGlow.esp=1TheEyesOfBeauty.esp=1SolitudeExterior.esp=1Bashed Patch, 0.esp=1DynDOLOD.esp=1 I use v0.308 of ENB, using the ENB preset found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50065/?as well as it's weather bit. This is the last image I see before it crashes, it crashed exactly here reliably every time i played. These are the last two papyrus logs from my last two attempts http://pastebin.com/37jbAsZY http://pastebin.com/DKf3e601 The Intro sequence varies slightly between attempts, such as Hadvar being absent about half the time,The horses deciding that nuzzling the carts into a tree is better than actually letting me continuethe game occasionally, despite this the crash always happens after Lokir delivers his rant to Ulfric. LOOT provides no errors, and neither does Wrye Bash or TES5EditI even used Wrye bash to sort masters for orange files. I believe my PC is perfectly adequate to handle what Skyrim demandsas i run it at 720p to keep a stable 60fps, My PC specs are: Windows 10i5 6600k CPUGTX 970 4gb VRAM8gb of RAM I hold Skyrim within my 1tb Seagate Harddrive, as I would rather use my SSD for things that actually run reliably. Any help on this is much appreciated, if you have any advice for me I welcome it. Thanks
spookymunky
hmm, I would suggest adding an alternate start mod (along with all the necessary patches, lol) into that mix.. the start area is kind of easily broken, if you can spawn somewhere else then walk towards it before you get a crash then it would narrow it down a bit. the conflict could honestly be anywhere, the only way to really know is going through them all to check if the mod author was nice enough to put a conflict part in. Patches I would be wary of, check and make sure the patch release date isn't older than the mod... bashed patch you have to enable / disable things following a guide and adapt to your game, not just a magic cure all. fnis has it's own quirky little setup if I remember right... I feel your pain, have been there many a time.. there is little outsiders can do though ? Personally I would just start disabling 10 at a time till it worked hehe, is all a game of eliminating variables. Ultra modded skyrim is not a myth hehe, my last play through was 220+ esp files ontop of the old requiem hehe.. got a good 300 hour + playthrough to the end out of that  I haven't been able to get the effort up to updating everything to start again though since it took me months to get that working, countless failed starts (sometimes 10 hours +) before ctd hehe.. it's just too much of a black hole time wise. Edit: one way to check for conflicts is to load up TES5edit and leave all mods enabled n wait till it has finished loading them, then right click on the left side column and select apply filter, defaults should be set to conflicts only I think ?.. hit ok and watch tv for a while hehe.. should get a whole lot of red if you are anything like me  If you then explore things in detail, and notice anything obviously wrong right on the header of the esp column you want the settings to be carried over from and click "copy as override into", scroll down till you get to new file and tick that, call it ultimate patch mofo!.. or whatever takes your fancy, something uplifting helps I find  Then it's just a case of repeating that process but each time copying the override into ThisWillTotallyWork!.esp .. then seeing if it fixes anything hehe.. there will no doubt be guides around that explain this in better detail ... this is basically how most of the patches are made I think, just made by people that understand what they are doing maybe hehe. I am maybe alone in this but kinda looking forward to the new version.. fresh start for everything hehe.. it's honestly the only thing that could bring me back to skyrim at this point, as much as I love it I also remember moments like yours far too vividly where I have cut mod list down to nothing and still ctd, no fun to be had. bigPIEN
Thanks for the advice guys, I will probably just reinstall Skyrim, start fresh and install in increments, add necessary patches fix load order and all that mess, I'll probably wipe my ini files too.If I have any more issues I will either post another bit here, or I'll just start a new topic sometime later, but until then, thanks for the help. i REALLY appreciate it.
