Sigil Stone Enchantment Incorrectly Predicting Number of Uses

I have a problem with playing Oblivion, I am running quite a few mods.

When I use one of Exnem's runeskulls the enchantment window appears as usual, when I select a weapon as the item to be enchanted the window displays (for example) charge per use 782, number of charges 255. As usual.

However, after I've confirmed the menu and enchanted the item, it only has (for example) a total charge of 2803, number of uses 3. I don't see how that can happen? Clearly there's some calculation goes on between those menus, but why? Surely the display within the enchanting menu implies that a total charge has been calculated.

Also, there seems to be some kind of weirdness with this mystery calculation, as though its inverted in a way. That example I gave above was the most serious example of the miscalculation (or whatever) but if I attempt to enchant with a lesser runeskull the enchant menu said that the charge per use would be 400 or so, and that I would get 255 uses. But when the item was created I only had 55 uses on the item, with a total charge of around 17000.

I am using Mighty Magick, but I have used runeskulls before and not had this problem. I did try Supreme Magick but didn't like it, however savegames that have never even seen Supreme Magick still have this problem. I installed Scorn's Vampirism and several parts of Modular Oblivion Enhanced recently and also updated OBSE.

Does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening, let alone know a solution?

Thank you, anyone who reads this.
