Weapon Inspection Animation

Hello, I have had a Nexus account for a few years now but I have only now discovered the forums and I found out about the Mod Request section where people have really cool ideas for new mods for Fallout and so on!

 

I was recently getting back into Fallout New Vegas and after installing a lot of visual mods, alongside with a lot of weapon mods such as the Weapons of the New Millenia, I was amazed by the amount of detail that the Millenia team put into making those weapons and I thought about a new mod that could complement the time and effort it took to make those weapons by allowing a player to inspect the weapons, similarly to how it is done in Counter Strike: Global Offensive.

I think it's a mod idea that could easily be made by some who has experience with animation work.

 

It could be compatible with Mod Configuration Menu (MCM) where the player can choose the Hot Key to activate the Inspection of your weapon, alongside other little tweaks like the Speed at which your character inspects the weapon.

 

I do understand that there are other weapon mods out there that could become an issue as their size could create some sort of clipping but if this mod would ever kick off then I believe that it is possible for those mod authors to create a patch for their weapons.

 

If anyone else has any suggestions for this mod or any questions on how it could work then please feel free to let me know.

 

Hopefully this could become a fully functioning mod in the future, if anyone out there does decide to put this mod into work then thank you in advance.

Ah, I see. Thanks for letting me know.

 

Regardless of that mod already existing, the video you have shown me does show off a fairly decent weapon animation but it seems to be fairly broken and only exclusive to handguns.

 

It would be nice if someone on the Nexus could make a similar version to it but with more varieties, cleaner animations and less bugs in third person.

 

I do appreciate you pointing that mod out. I haven't searched any other website apart from the Nexus for Weapon Inspection mods.

I've seen the mod used with rifles of all kind,so it works with all weapons beside melee and unarmed.

Sorry, mate for my previous reply. I had a look through the Internet and I found the original mod and the link to it. I've tested it out and it works like a dream! Cheers for at least leading me in the right direction.
