jelf
Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a quick forum search and couldn't find anything relevant. So which file should I look into to mod difficulty? Just changing very basic stuff like damage multiplier for enemy, health multiplier, etc. Thanks a lot! panurgy
If you want an excellent mod, try SkyTweak. It lets you control a ton of variables on the fly through a well-designed MCM menu. There are similar mods with a smaller focus like Dynamic Difficulty. Not sure the state of those because I always use SkyTweak. For a more technical answer:There are a number of GMST settings (global variables). There's no file to tweak, you need the Creation Kit or TES5Edit. This topic is a good read for technical details about what the variables are and what they do. Each difficulty setting has two variables a "by player to NPC" and a "to player by NPC" damage multiplier. There are also additional variables that alter damage, it depends on how far you want to dig into it.

Or did I post in the wrong forum?
jelf
I just want to modify the modifiers applied to monster damage/health and player damage/health, e.g. on Death March settings. Does anyone know how to do it? Thanks!
