piromanniak
Hi I have a problem with mod installation through NMM. I just bough a new computer of my friend, a new machine as he had it only for a month. Its on windows 10 so I reset the system. I downoaded Skyrim installed SKSE and proceeded to install mods trough the NMM. I automatically encountered an error which said somethig like "Access to the path (the path) is denied ". I found that the problem can be caused by the ownership of the folders. I managed to fix that and installed a few mods. I shut the system down and it updated itself. The next day I try to downoad more mods but get this error: "Access to the path"d:\Games\Nexux Mod Manager\Skyrim\Mods\cache\ApachiiSkyHaiFemale_v_1_5-10168-1-5\Data\fomod\info.xml" is denied The mod was not installed." I thought that this is again caused by the forlder ownership so I changed the ownership of all folders in that path to the administrator. However even when run NMM as admin the same arror appears. When I folowed that path I found that the info.xml file is missing. I have moded skyrim on a different computer wth win7 and it worked fine so I copied that file from that pc and pasted it on this one in the correct spot. Again however when I try to install the mod this file is being removed. Also the first error was with relation to the data forlder in Skyrim. Any ideas as to why that might take place and how to fix it? Edited October 28, 2016 by piromanniak

piromanniak
I found the problem. It seems to have been McAfee. I uninstalled it and installed avast and without much hope run the NMM and mods intall normaly.
sling007
Avira seems to be doing the same for me. Temp disable seems to fix the issue. Don't forget to reactivate ;)
xZimnii
Y'all are awesome, googling the problem last night made me think it was NMM having a problem with such large files so I split the .rar in half (can't do it manually because I want it to overwrite one mod but not others) and it still didn't work! Temp disabling Avira did the trick.
