NerevarII
It's Bethesda. Chances are, even with them now using Dx11, they didn't optimize the game correctly. It's almost a guarantee at this point, that many updates will be needed, many patches, and probably many other things, because as BUGthesda's history shows us, they slack off more than any other company I know. So, expect shotty performance until they wake up and fix it, or, until one of the modders/gamers comes around and fixes it for us. I was looking at the Specs required.....my system is above that, but, for what the new release of Skyrim offers, you shouldn't need an R9 290 as a recommended requirement. I'm not going to download it either, until the modding community has released version of their mods that work with it. edit: just now actually read your post....woops....yeah you need better hardware if you want to play above low-medium, however, I can say with almost 100% certainty that's it's BUGthesda screwing up .... again. Project579
You have a 600 series cards they are not made to use DX11 it's normal that the game runs pretty badly the GPU architecture doesn't support the API you need a 700+ series NVIDIA GPU to play the game or an AMD R7/R9+. NerevarII
He's right ^ though bethesda still needs to wake up and fix some things.

Heck even a 480GTX can use DX 11.. Edited October 29, 2016 by mostly30
NerevarII
Good to know, maybe I was thinking of an older card :P I thought something seemed weird, seeing that a lesser card is able to run the game as per the minimum requirements
