Well I finished my class, but another ... something is slowing down the process.

My heart isn't in the work at the moment.

I'll get to work on it at some point in the (hopefully) near future.

I was all jazzed about this project cause my wife was pregnant. She's not anymore so I need to take care of her for a while. (Emotionally)

Not trying to bring you guys down, but lettin you know it's on hold for a while longer.

Thanks!

Thanks Hoots. Things are back to normal, now.

I may get to work on the mod in the near future.

Even though we don't know each other, your sympathies really touched me. Thank you.

I will be back.

Well, I'm back.

I have a different idea, but it will still require a pregnant woman.

I did find an equipable body that looks really good, but it's nude and cannot wear anything else. I learned alot from the use of it, though.

I'm basically here to get some input before I begin this thing.

Here's what I have-

I'm gonna have to make a playable "race" called pregnant ---.

I wanna create a few spells that go along with it, raise a few of the skills, and create a simple story line.

What I don't know is this-

Can you turn in yarn, furs, and cloth to an npc for them to turn it into clothing? I think it can be programed or formated or whatever it's called, but I'm not sure.

I also think that creating a race is one thing, but having an exclusive body to one race isnt possible without affecting all npc's as well.

Thats not a problem as long as the npc's keep their clothing on. Or will I have clipping problems with everyone?

A body mod will affect all npc's and doesn't allow me to add the spells, and attributes that will go along with it.

So any input/ideas/sugestions would be appreciated.

I do know that the only thing that will help the most is trial and error, but the more I can avoid, the faster the progress.

Thanks!!

i know its not possible, but id love to see a sling weapon. this looks like a great idea. i wouldnt wory at all about conventional armour from a lore standpoint, how many smiths would create a suit and go, "my masterpeice is alomost finished, not o create one for the pregnant warrior!" any armour would be as said lethear and homemade in my veiw

Thoughts: I love to sew in real life, so I've been dreaming of a "seamstress/tailor" mod that would go along nicely with one of your ideas. Anything is possible with OBSE and it might work as an add-on to the Crafty Bits mod, or at least be highly compatible with it. What I have been envisioning is a treadle sewing machine and a loom, and they are beyond my current blender capabilities, but I never give up on a good idea.

There is a "pregnant dress", I've seen it you just have to look for it, and it's posted/hosted here somewhere in the nexus vaults. I just saw it the other day while I was looking for something completely different though, it may have been made for the UFF body, I'm thinking, but my memory isn't what it used to be, and it's not something I'd currently use in my game.

Your pregnant ladies should definitely have their own custom race(s), and if they were done as a custom race, no other NPCs would be effected which would work out fine. The custom pregnant ladies would definitely have their own pregnant bodies and clothes and no other race would be affected by those. I'm not sure I would make them "playable" and I would also probably not allow their clothing to be playable. They might be better as non-playable Partners/Companions. Barring that, you might instead consider scripting their clothing so that it can't be looted. There is a vanilla script for non-lootable clothing armor and weapons already (in the arena quest line). That way no non-pregnant characters can equip the pregnant bellies, if you know what I mean.

When custom clothing is done right, you should not get any clipping when it's equipped. That means that it should equip all the relevant body parts to match up with the custom body. That's a pretty simple thing to achieve.

There was a Tailor mod of sorts in Morrowind, I believe, but I haven't seen one for Oblivion. If you can live without the sewing machine and loom meshes, you could always just have a quest where the ladies accept the raw materials at their shop, create a timed delay for the quest to complete and in few oblivion days have the quest marker update that your new clothing is ready for you to pick up at the shop.

Nice!!

Thank you for the help and suggestions.

I was going to go with the time lapse.

The idea is that this race will be kind of an outcast or shunned race. There will be one or two characters/classes that will be freindly to them and will take them in for certain tasks/quests.

i have a question, again.

(I'm gonna have a lot of them, so plz be patient)

Can I take the equipable preg body and somehow make it work as the actual body for the ladies?

I'm using the construction set and, so far, find it pretty easy to work with.

I'm guessing that I need to extract the preg body image from the mod and transfer that image to use as the body on my character.

I will try to figure it out, but again, any help is much appreciated.

If all this works, I guess I'm gonna have pregnant males too. Lol.

Thats ok since I did see a show about the first "man" that gave birth a few weeks ago.

You're in no danger of having "pregnant males" unless you screw up when assigning the dress to the slots in the CS in your mod. I guess you're considering a public release of this mod?

I haven't looked at the body mesh in the mod you're discussing, but yes you'd assign the body in the CS to a CUSTOM RACE. Or races, if you want a pregnant woman for every race. They would each get a new race.

I'm not sure if I would go with a public release, since I don't believe it would be very popular.

I wan't it to work well and I would release to those that would be interested in it. A few people on this thread said they would like to try it. Of course that depends on how good it comes out.

I have extracted the body out of a large mod. The body is nude, so I think I wanna provide some undies for it. That will come later, though.

Do you mind if I take a look at the mod you extracted it from? (Link?)

Here is the link to the "pregnant dress" which is also a resource.

Edit:

Got sidetracked by an interruption and forgot the link.
