jackalhead
How do I go about getting rid of the arm / sleeve pieces of certain armor? Do I have to edit the mesh to do this or can I simply make the textures transparent in photoshop?
CampanaAliquanta
You need to add an alpha channel to the mesh in nifskope as well before it will recognise transparency.

I've done quite a bit in Nifskope, but not this. Any tutorials you know of or you can lay out a few simple steps I can follow to do that?
firstprice
You need to edit the model as well if you're going to remove a part of the armor that's not only a pure layer.
CampanaAliquanta
I'm afraid the only instructions I've seen anywhere are as follows: I have figured out how to make part of the mesh invisible: create an alpha channel in the NIF for the mesh I want to change and cover the part of the texture in the alpha chan in the dds file. In NIFSkope - Do not check enable blending - Source: Src Alpha - Destination: InvSrcAlpha - Treshold: 128 Failing that you could try the wiki (there is a nifskope specific one, or the one on this forum might have a tutorial somewhere. jackalhead
Thank you. :] I'll mess around and try and guess the details based on that.
