Unable to Report Mods

Hi there,

 

I am unable to use the Report function to report mods that violate copyright laws (such as, mods that use copyrighted content from shows/movies etc.)

 

I click on Report Mod, choose a category, type a description, and when I click Submit, my browser shows an error on the page.

 

I am using Internet Explorer 8.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions or another way I could report mods that violate copyright?

 

Additionally, what is this site's view on mods that use copyrighted content?

You could try clicking on the persons username then forum profile and report from there. The sites view is the law,so don't upload copyrighted stuff ect.

 

If a modder recreates something himself though, IE an armor from WOW and makes all the meshes/textures themselves copyright is not broken and it comes under fan art more. Copyright would only be broken if they ripped the model from WOW themselves or uploaded it or tried to sell there model.

The mods in question use audio files ripped from TV shows/movies, which I doubt they've recreated themselves :/

Obviously a member of staff would have to confirm but believe that is not allowed. Just explain in the report exactly what it is that they are ripped directly from the shows/movies and the staff will investigate.

Make sure you are logged into the file site...it is required on reporting.
