wil1022
Ok so i open up the g.e.c.k to edit some of the n.p.c's mostly the females i do this to give them some custom hairs that i found here on nexus the hairs are by cazy any way this worked fine for the most part until i get in to the game and i see that all the npc that are wearing hats or helmets are bald so i go in to the geck open it up and i find that it lets me change any thing but the inventory part because as soon i open the inventory part of the geck up for those npc i get a runtime error and then the geck crashes the reason why i was trying to go in to the npc inventory was so i could remove the hats from them with no luck. I found a mod that fixes the hat thing but the hairs clip threw the hats and it looks funny so is there a fix to this or iam i doing something wrong as far as i know i am up to date with the newer patches and i have the newer version of the geck so what could it be ?? micalov
The baldness from wearing hats with certain hairs is they have not had a modified version for hats, each hair mesh has 2 actual parts normal and part that turns on wen an NPC or PC wears a hat. a lot of hairs are converted from other games and don't have the under hair for hats unless a modder creates them and most don't because it seems kind of pointless to have nice hair then just slap a hat on that will cover most of it and difficulty unless they just use a default one that does not match. The hat "fix" mods are not really fixes, all the do it turn off the hat hat biped slot in GECK for the hats/helms which is why they also hugely clip, so no there is not much you can really do minus creating some hair sections in the hair mesh yourself and personally I would only change the hair of NPC's that do not wear helmets and hats most the time. TLDR version: Nope your not doing anything wrong its a problem with converted hairs missing meshes for wearing hats, simply don't give NPC's with hats new hair or make sure the hair does have hat mesh section. Well that is another solution if you want to remove the hats, sorry though you wanted to keep the hats.
wil1022
well thats the thing because when i open up the geck and go in to the npc's inventory part i get a runtime error and the geck crashes right after that so i can't do that i have no clue why this happens it's to bad because this would be the easy thing do LOL
