Dragoncloude
Hey there guy, [[[[[DISCLAIMER]]]](((((IF YOU FIND THIS TLDR (Too Long Didn't Read) JUST SKIP TO THE 3RD PARAGRAPH))))) I come here seeking help with my Nexus Mod Manager. Any help will be appreciated. Here is a little back story to set the mood. I started playing Fallout 4 (on Steam) as soon as it came out. Being fairly new to Steam and Bethesda games in general I learned that you cab enhance the game with "mods" I immediately got exited. The thought of being able to change the aesthetics and customize the game to my liking was intensely interesting to me as I see it is to many others I now see. So I was then ushered to the Nexus for all my modding needs. I was pleased to fine that the Nexus has a Mod Manager as I am not confident messing around with files and moving things around in my computer. ( I know I am pathetic it is 2016 FFS) So I continued with my planes to make Fallout 4 the way i like it and I have never been so pleased with a game such as this in a very long time. Unfortunately I had to move and also had to stop playing Fallout 4 for a few months. Due to my rather small SSD drive to witch I play all my games on to increase speed and what not I had to uninstall a few games to make room for others. "That's all I got to say 'bout that" Now I am having the cravings for so Fallout 4 so I went to Steam and reinstalled it and when to play it to find many of my mods where not working. So I went to my Mod Manager to se what was going on and noticed that most of my mods were out of date or new versions were available. I tried to update them but they still didn't work. I thought maybe I need to just clear it all out cuz I have quite a few mods that I wasn't using and just start over. I looked up on Youtube how to do it and proceeded to do it. ((( THIS IS WHERE I NEED HELP)))) I was instructed to deactivate all my mods then go into mt fallout 4 folder and delete the Mods file and when I load up Nexus Mod Manager it will replace the mod file but it will be empty and I will start over with no mods in the manager. So by accident I deleted the Fallout 4 file and end up having to uninstall Fallout 4 and reinstall it. the game works fine and is like a vanilla game with no mods and plays just fine, but. As I tried to load up the Mod Manager I keep getting a warning saying that , "C/Games/Nexus Mod Manager/Fallout4/Mods/Improved Hunting Rifle Damage-2691-1-00.rar' cannot be found." it goes on to say " This could be cause by setting the wrong 'Mods' or an old config file being used." It asks it I want to hit YES to input the proper location of my mods folder or hit NO and it will uninstall the missing mods files" If I hit YES it start over to choose a location in the computer to add the mod folders and that is ..."C/Games/Nexus Mod Manager/Fallout4/Mods" Which is where they default says they should go and i am not knowledgeable enough to choose anything other than the default but each time it keeps showing the same warning. if I hit NO it just makes a chiming noise and the warning goes no where. I am at a lose i need you help to be able to use my Mod Manager so i can enjoy my Bethesda game the way I love it. Please Help!
Vokuun
It sounds like there's a missing miscellaneous file that a master mod file relies on. Have you looked in your Data folder to delete any assets from that mod manually?I've never played any of the Fallout series (I know, shame unto me), but most Bethesda games work in more or less the same way.
