[FIX] Another fix for FPS and performance

Bethesda neglected to use their brains, once again, no surprise there.

They up scaled textures, essentially yielding no visual quality improvement, and instead, causing FPS drops and VRAM being eaten up. They raised the cost of performance. Normally, I'd see something like this as a cruel joke/trolling from a company, but, with Bethesda's history, nope, this is how thing's are. they messed up, and left it up to us to fix it.

The solution:

The textures/meshes from Skyrim will work with SSE. I'm not sure if they need to be converted first but....all you need to do, is take the old textures, and copy/paste/overwrite them to the SSE installation. Normal or HD Pack, whatever you prefer. Or, use one of the many replacer mods already available, if they are not .esps and unpacked if archived.

âThen, say hello to your performance increase and enjoy the game :)

So, unmaster the remaster ? Well that makes sense (that was sarcasm) They are the textures from the Official High Resolution texture pack from Skyrim.

If you're that hungry for fps I think you're better off downloading the Bethesda HD optimized mod (not the exact name) and installing that.

actually i compared some of the textures from 2011 skyrim, the HD texture pack and the SSE; and the SSE version seem to be the original textures before bethesda downscales them for public use. they did not just scale up the old textures it seems.

Unmaster the remaster? What? Did you even read my post, or did you read it and simply not retain anything I said?

have a look here, to START. Notice what I said, to START, feel free to check elsewhere: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2016/10/28/skyrim-special-edition-pc-changes/

"...If anything, you might find that it’s a step down from your modded original Skyrim with the Bethesda high-res texture pack..." (f*#@ing stupid BB code copy n paste)

They upscaled the textures, and added noise. What are you not getting? It's not about being hungry for FPS, it's about fixing what they messed up. You will be better off using optimized textures, but you will ALSO be better off using the original textures vs SSE's, because, technically speaking, it's more FPS-hungry for no visual difference.
