Unit Alpha
So I've been having a constant issue with the game and getting instantaneous hard crashes when I fast travel to places like Riften when I have any decent texture mods installed. I have mods like HQ Towns and Villages, Improved NPC clothing, Enhanced Night, the FXAA injector, Better Females, and a few other minor texture mods. However, I'm still getting random crashes, both when I fast travel and just out in the world. This only happens after I installed texture mods; the crashes have literally seemed like the game just quit working instantly, as I'm not getting any "Skyrim has stopped working" message from Windows. Any ideas? I've tried the 4 gig launcher to no avail. System:Athlon II X4 3.0Ghz PropusRadeon 57704 GB DDR31 Gig HDStandard other stuff. Seems like a problem with Archive Invalidation or something like that. Not a system issue, mainly because, while this system isn't great, it can still run anything near maximum, including Crysis 2 with the HD texture pack and DX11 patch. Unit Alpha
Well, I'm gonna try upgrading to 12 GB of memory due to people saying that tex mod memory dumps may be hitting an overhead and killing the game.

Probably won't help until Bethesda gets around to Large Address Awareness in the core .EXE. I just had to remove all such MODs for the time-being - I wasn't getting crashes with 6GB but the high-rez textures wouldn't load and so the meshes were just plain black or not skinned at all. :(
