icydawgfish
I'm hoping someone can help me out. I bought a new computer and upgraded from Windows 7 to 10. I installed a fresh copy of Skyrim on Steam to the default path and it won't launch. Note that this is the old Skyrim with DLC, not the re-release. Upon launch, it says that it is verifying my hardware and then it freezes indefinitely.. When I exit and relaunch, I press play and a black window will appear before crashing a few seconds later. This is a clean install, no mods or anything. I've tried running it as an administrator, verifying the game cache, and running the executables for the game and launcher directly. Can anyone help me out? Edit: I also tried running the launcher and game executables in windows 8 compatibility mode. quickyusername
hmm.. try deleting the game, then go into steam. remove skyrim folder and then re-install, and retry.
