Can I use Nexus Mod Manager with Uplay?

I decided I wanted to play far cry 3, but since I already had it on ps3, I wanted to use mods. But I have only ever tried using NMM with my steam games rather than my Uplay games. Is it possible?

Actually, I just realized that far cry 3 can't use nexus mod manager since you can only have like one mod at a time, but what I meant to ask anyways was can these mods work for uplay instead of steam?

The particular distribution channel (Steam, Origin, retail disc, etc.) is irrelevant.

 

NMM only works with the very specific list of titles found on the "Scan for games" screen, (and obviously only for the PC version of those games.)
