Bobio567 Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 I'm busy working on a few building meshes and I'd like to apply some shading effects similar to the ones used in the screenshots below. The only problem is I have no idea how to make them; are they done in a 3d modeling program or are they added with nifskope? Is there a tutorial out there explaining how to add them? http://oi63.tinypic.com/2dgu89y.jpg
Deleted1205226User Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 The shading is made with Vertex Painting. It is done in 3D modeling programs (I use Blender).https://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.4/Manual/Materials/Vertex_Paint It is also possible to do it in Nifskope but it is extremely tedious, I won't recommend it unless for very simple object with minimum vertices.
Bobio567 Posted November 1, 2016 Author Posted November 1, 2016 Thanks so much Pixelhate. If I can get this vertex painting down then that will probably save me a lot of time in the future!
