Proper way to add another follower?

I know of course it's doable with resetting the player follower count to zero, but did anybody poke around to see if there is a way to add another alias to dialoguefollower record which fully works? I am totally at loss about how the dialogue is linked to the alias entry. :confused: In what way the game determines if the order is sent to the human or the animal follower? Any help would be very welcome, thanks. :unsure:

Cosigned. Using the animal alias to get another human follower is fine until you realize you can't trade with them, they don't sneak with you (which means they spot you instead, like a normal NPC, which is shitty for thieves) and they don't follow orders. I've had NPCs follow me temporarily (along with a companion) who were capable of sneaking along with me. I couldn't trade with them but still. There has to be some way to use that code, right? The priest you're supposed to lure to some cannibals follows correctly and sneaks correctly (some followers don't). So there has to be some third alias they use other than your normal companion and dog.

Actually, they can sneak. You need to add "setplayerteammate 1" in the console, and they'll sneak.
