dark knight detective Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 This is my 5th time through Oblivion, and the first time I've had this trouble. I have all current patches applied that I know of. What is happening started with the "Seige on Kavatch" part of the Main Quest. I went into the Oblivion Gate, got the Sigil Stone, and saw the "fade to bright white" - but instead of being transported back to Kavatch, the scene in the Sigilium Sangilis re-loaded with the ring around where the Sigil Stone had been now in a jumbled mess and one support chain broken. The sigil stone was in my inventory. I went to the online walk-through, and got the code to advance the Main Quest, but still had to walk all the way back to the gate and exit it the way I went in. I figured it wouldn't matter much as long as I could keep playing, and went along my merry way. Just now I attacked the gate just north of the Leyyawin NE gate. Same result. I went back to the online walk-through, and got the "ClosecurrentOblivionGate" command. When I reloaded my save game, I immediately tried it - and had no effect. My character is still stuck in Oblivion and can't get the Oblivion Gate to close. Can someone tell me how to fix this?
ninja_lord666 Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 I suffer the same problem, I don't know what's causing it. I never had that before. I even have the same problem with CloseCurrentOblivionGate. However, on the outside, the command CloseOblivionGate works when the gate is selected, so I didn't care. The strange thing, though, is that the Great Gate worked perfectly fine.

I'll try going back to the gate, and selecting it with the Command Console open, and see if that gets the gate to close.
