1 hour is all i can get??

hi i reinstalled oblivion installed a mods but still with my new video card has the same problem that crashes every hour more less this problem make me crazy in the past and never could figure out how to resolve it

its curios that i got the comp abilities patches for ooo with ul and in wrye bash appears with missing master!! the same situation in the compatibility patch of heart of the dead and arrius creek.

 

i played oblivion today in windows mode it crashed when i was in a wood, after 1 hour ten mins, using 1.2g of memory its a little low right?? im using oblivion stutter remover with this configuration iHeapAlgorithm = 5 iHeapSize = 450 applied the laa patch just to test the memory usage!

 

so it could be a random crash?? because in the recent past i only could play 1 hour 1 hour and a half!

 

i donts think it heat problem from my pc i play games like risen, the witcher2, just bought and tested la noir!

I don't see anything that stands out to me in your load list, but I am concerned with the messages talking about missing masters. You are sure you have the mods that the patches are designed for installed, right?

 

When BOSS runs, it opens a browser window. On the top section it will list the following:

 

Recognised plugins: 163 Warning messages: 0

Unrecognised plugins: 5 Error messages: 0

Ghosted plugins: 0 Total number of messages: 110

Total number of plugins: 168

 

How many warnings and how many errors does yours list?

Have you looked at the list in the web page to be sure that there are no red lines highlighting action that is required?

Oblivion is a highly unstable program, especially when modded. I would say that the average interval for random CTDs is every two hours. So if you can play for an hour and 10 minutes without a CTD, then you are not doing too badly. If you play Oblivion, you need to develop excellent saving discipline. You should save your game every few minutes. Like maybe you should save after every accomplishment. Like you should save each time you discover a new location, find a good treasure, or defeat a tough foe.

 

The thing to really be concerned about is non-random CTDs. Like for instance if the game crashes every time you visit Bruma, or every time you kill a certain kind of creature. Those sort of things have to be fixed.

 

You said something about missing masters in Wrye Bash. You absolutely must get this fixed if you want a stable game. Unfortunately, it is easier said than done. Wrye Bash is buggy and gives false alarms sometimes. But if you will tinker with your load order, you will eventually be able to get rid of all the red text in Wrye Bash. You may need to do things like temporarily deactivivating mods, temporarily removing mods, changing load order, and manually changing date stamps. I have only seen Wrye Bash give false positives, and never seen it give false negatives.

1.5GB RAM. The operating system takes up about .3GB of that. What other background processes are you running? The more 'stuff' you have running when you play, the quicker the game will run out of memory and crash. Typically you see these crashes when the game is loading new areas, such as when going through a door.

 

First get rid of any background processes you really don't need. Here is a free program that might help do that. Game Booster: http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5952

 

Then, if it's possible get more RAM. A 32 bit system can use up to about 3.5GB. Any more than that will be wasted as the 32 bit system cannot see it. That will free up the entire 2GB that the vanilla game will use. The rest can be used for operating system and any background processes that you can't kill. - such as your antivirus.

i have windows 7 64 bits with 4g of ram i dont use quarls textures o any sort of texture pack, its still good to use streamline??

Well, as said above you should certainly make sure all your stuff is in order; no missing masters, make sure the load order is optimal, etc...

But you can also try the Oblivion Crash Prevention System, a fairly old OBSE mod that tries to stop more well-known crashes and might accidentally stop others that it's not necessarily meant to. If absolutely nothing else, its logging function might catch whatever's crashing your game so you can narrow your search for a fix.

 

Like I said, it's an old plugin, and it's not being updated anymore...but it's not like it can really hurt anything at this point, eh?

well updated ul and the red color (missing masters )with the compability patches its gone.

 

now i ve another problem every time i get near the boat that gets me to cybiades the game crashes installed Oblivion Crash Prevention System, if that could help me but still crashes when i get near that boat, the problem was the same before i updated UL maybe i shoul download again cybiades??

 

 

EDIT: deactivated cybiades, and still getting crash on the same zone, y loaded a daved game which i was inside anvil mage guild and still got a crash deactivated return to the shadows the last mode i installed and still cdt

 

i rebuilded the bashed patch after deacivate both mods
