Flame atronachs as a light source

Planning to use Realistic Lighting Overhaul, which makes dungeons and night travel very, very dark. I am a conjurer, usually never far from a flame atronach, but I still have to follow it with candlelight in order to see enough to fight. I seems like a humanoid sized fire would cast at least as much light as your average fireplace, so I set about trying to figure out how to make it happen...and failed miserably. I'm hoping someone, who knows what they're doing, can make this happen, preferably with non-shadow light to avoid performance issues. Please?
