Stuck on loading screen for Skyhold

Not sure if anyone has had this issue but I can't seem to figure out a way around it. It was working flawlessly, but then I had to format my PC for unrelated reasons. Now everything is back up and running, installed DAI, installed the DAI mod manager and the old mod and wanted to resume playing (about 60hrs in). I find that when I try and load my latest save at Skyhold I get stuck on the loading screen which seems to be infinite (left for 30mins, nothing). When I try to load another save in another area it loads fine and plays fine, but not in Skyhold. Whenever I try to travel to skyhold from another area it also gets stuck on the loading screen. Not a black or white loading screen, just the one with the cards on it. It doesn't freeze, I'm still able to move from card to card and the loading icon is pulsing, but it never actually loads. Tried going back to old saves even to the beginning and anything involving Skyhold causes an infinite loading screen (not a black/white screen, just the cards on screen). I've seen people say to merge the modding files again which i tried and didn't work. Also seen some people say to change the version number in the patch folder by increasing it 1 digit, which did and then merged again, but no fix. Anyone else have a similar issue/fix?

 

I should say I have only the black emporium DLC installed, no others (yet). But it worked fine for ~60hrs before with zero issues with skyhold before the format so I'm guessing that's not an issue.

I have the same issue, except mine freezes after a while. This only happens at Skyhold, I have tried removing all mods which worked but all my mods worked in all areas of the game BUT Skyhold so I don't think its the mods and they have been working fine up till now ( I have just completed wicked eyes quest). This started when I tried changing appearances at the black emporium, after putting back my merge folder I could no longer get back to Skyhold. I have tried clean merge, repair on Origin and merging small groups of mods at a time but Skyhold is the only place that does not allow mods anymore..... you could try removing your mods, that would work but if you have found any other solution please tell me.
