jackiechanssmalercousin
this is a new idea that I have some trouble putting into words at the moment, so please let me know if I should explain something further, but the idea is that when you start the game you no longer start as level 1 blank slate scrub (unless you want to) and instead start with your character already leveled towards some specific play style with skills and perks already invested to that playstyle, although I'm not sure what that level should be, but 5, 10, 15, and, 20 seem like they could be sweet spots for this. as for classes, the basics(warrior, mage, thief) and sub-basics (a few combinations of the previous 3) would be ideal, but i would be happy enough if someone were to even use this idea at all the main point of this system would be to make it feel like your character had some semblance of a life before you took control, along with making it easier to start a new playthrough without having to level quite as much i would be willing to help in the creation of a mod like this, i have some experience as a QA tester and know a thing or two about modelling and texturing (have absolutly no idea how that would help unless class specific items seems like a good idea), but sadly my knowledge of scripting and modding is fairly limited(although still above average) Thank you for reading my topic
Kregen
Was just thumbing through old posts and found this. There is a mod called levelers tower, it was in old rim as well, it allows you to totally custom build your char's attributes and level. You can be as restrained or over the top as you like. The tower is situated in the area south of Helgin between the main exit road and the path from the exit cave.
