genivf2
so far I've narrow it down toThe Atmospheric Weather System and the weather system from Natural Environmentsbased on reviews. I'm using TAWS but I notice sudden abrupt changes in weather and it seems kinda unrealistic. like I"m walking and it's sunny and then suddenly it is dark/cloudy and heavy rain. not sure of NE is like that too.. anyone care to comment? Obsessed117
Whenever I use a weather mod it just makes things a lot worse... Once I DLed a mod that claimed to have better sky...and all it was was a blue canvas with no clouds. Then the weather changes happened in like one second and it sucked. I changed it back to vanilla and thought it was an improvement :P
xenxander
I use natural environments but I only use the natural water and foliages and darker nights, I don't use the weather part of the mod because to be frank I don't think it's nessessary. Edit:I think Natural envoronments screwed up my oblivion gates because inside oblivion the sky is nice and blue when it should be all oblivion type weather. so I forceweather - oblivion all the time but it's only a work-around, not a fix *sigh*

genivf2
wow that looks cool, downloading it now. btw: I had that incidne with TAWS when inside the oblivion plain it was bright and blue. but that link up pionted me to seems to have corrected that: - Shivering Isles and Oblivion planes Boethia and Peryite are no longer affected by Natural Weather
genivf2
hmm after reading the comments. the problem of fast weather is still there :( and my biggest grip with AWS , just wondered if there was any fix for the incredibly fast weather. This occurs mostly when I switch between or use menus, it is then that the weather conditions change. This subtracts from the immersion, as it goes from sunny to snowing in an instant. that's the reason I switch from AWS to NE. testing NE now and it seems nicer supposely less weather types.40 vs I think 100+? but what the hell is there even 100+ weather type? xenxander
I"ll get the latest version and test to see if the oblivion planes are fixed - which it says they are. Vanillia Oblivion had 7 I think. I would imagine only 20 are needed or less, though to me 40 is over-excessive (another reason I don't use the "weather" part of the mod). It's not bad by any stretch, it's just a bit too odd when you enter a house and then exit four seconds later to have it raining, and do it again to have it sunny again (I think entering / exiting cells resest the counter and chooses a new random weather)

genivf2
ok I finished testing Authors Natural Environment (the one that combines the weather system of AWS and NE) same problem as the original AWS. with AWS I noticed the weathers is not realistic and it seem to have abrupt weather change affect by location.- example if it is thunderstorm/rain out side and u go into a house and wait 2 hours come back out and it's bright as day. (weather change)- fast traveling changes weather even to short distance. I did a test and fast travel from from about 30 seconds walking west from Roxy Inn to Ft Cham (maybe 1 hour game time travel distance) and when I got there it went from rainstorm to bright cheery day. I didn't notice any of these abrupt changes with the Natural Environment weather system. with that the weather changes seems be based on time which I guess is more realistic :) so I'm going to stick with NW. it has less weather types (but like I said before 40 seems pretty enough for me :)it is missing some custom sky textures of AWS but I have a mod called "better sky textures" it looks pretty good and about the same as AWS.one thing I noticed when I installed NW (along with the HDR color override mod) seems to have better/more vibrant color as oppose to AWS.
