ecirbaf
Women soldiers in the middle ages had a special kind of armour with more weight in the back area, in order to balance for their very large breasts, which were exposed through holes in the front side. Such historical details have been captured marvelously by CBBE and its derivatives. Furthermore, only noble women had any kind of heavy armour. Other women soldiers wore very skimpy outfits that let them evacuate the sweat and feel refreshed while in the heat of combat. Mods such as "revealing forsworn armor" are based on these historical accounts. There :)
Gyiul
there were arguments about that? O.O the age of plate armor was dominated by males...women were 2nd, 3rd class citizens. they didn't fight, were told not to fight, and only in rare verging on unique instance did they fight. a little history should have stuffed any argument before it started. and if plate had been made for women, it would have done it as simply as possible. larger chest but no individual cups. basically male versions beaten out in the chest to provide a bit more room. In europe maybe, plenty of women of the Samurai class fought. Actually women did fought in Europe as well. I think most people are confusing Victorian revisionism with actual history. KyuubiNoYouko
The world of The Elder Scrolls games is a fantasy realm, a realm in which females are considered to be equal to men, not like in the middle ages of our world. So in such a world, in which a lot other mystic things are possible, there can also be plate-mail with breast cups. Gyiul
So in such a world, in which a lot other mystic things are possible, there can also be plate-mail with breast cups. Your now defending sexism with this absurd argument (this is the exact same argument people make when defending high heels in games like Diablo, Hellgate London (which ironically takes place on Earth), etc as well). Just because mystical things happen doesn't mean things have to be completely impractical and unrealistic. BTW for those who say that women warriors didn't exist well look at these sites: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_women_warriors_in_folklore http://www.lothene.demon.co.uk/others/women.html http://www.physics.uc.edu/~sitko/women.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woman_warrior Edited December 24, 2011 by Gyiul
Robynah
If the Spartans or Romans had female warriors they would probably have had boob armor given that they had ripped male torso breastplates. But they were homosexual so we'll never know for sure.

Just because mystical things happen doesn't mean things have to be completely impractical and unrealistic. And you're making too much of a deal out of some armor with breast cups. Also the argument about the cups being a health risk in actual battle doesn't really work for a world were a dragon can swoop down at any time, mystic scrolls can rend you blind, or adventurers turn to guards after taking an arrow in the knee.I find all the mods that make female armor look like cheap SM outfits far more disturbing:http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4559 Edited December 25, 2011 by Kyuubi no Youko

Yes it does and quit retorting to these excuses because your (might be unknowingly) defending the obvious sexism of the developers with these lazy ridiculous arguments and logical fallacies. The human body in any world should be no different than our world and even in fantasy worlds there needs to be laws.
