LE I have an idea

this probably has already been covered, but i'd like a Dwarven race in Skyrim because to me, Dwarves are awesome, I'd love to see them in a game like this, especially with all the Dwemer ruins everywhere

I have a small idea of racial buffs they'd get, but this is all theorycrafting

~ 10 to Smithing

~ 5 to Alteration

~ 10 to Heavy armor

~ 5 to 2 Handed weapons

~ 5 to Block

~ 5 to Enchanting

~10% to all resistances, Cold, fire, lightning

Maybe something racial wise, not sure yet

Double posts are to be avoided unless completely necessary, your second post could have simply been an edit. Also, topic titles should your idea in a few words, not stating the fact you had an idea, you wouldn't be making a topic if you didn't.

 

Okay now that's out the way onto the mod. Whilst possible it would either require a lot of work or be really messy looking, for a start armour an weapons would need sorting out as well as many animations and possibly even the animation rig of the entire body, this is because there would be a massive size difference, so you'd probably end up with very small items and child looking people, as opposed to the more traditionally thought of stocky dwarves. Also of note is a lot of TES fans are big on lore, whilst this doesn't actually affect the logistics of the mod, people will argue until their blue in the face about how this doesn't fit lore.

 

Ultimately I'd say this mod is unlikely but not impossible. If I had to hazard a guess at the first fully from scratch race mod that's worth its salt, I'd guess snow elves, and even they aren't a massive stretch from any of the current Mer races

Hatter, I was thinking more along the lines of Dwemer, as they are lore-wise, look a bit like woodelves, with long-ish kind of beards, and they are extinct, but I think that some people would like to be a Dwemer, so this is why i suggested it

but I am no way a person who knows how to do modifications, so i wouldn't know anyway on how to actually do this.
