SirPsycho117
So my one-handed is currently marked in red for 25, when it should be 57. No diseases. No one-handed related enchantments. I've done some side quests, have yet to complete "getting" the horn for main quest. I look back to a very previous save, and the stats are normal, so something recent has triggered it, whether it be in game or recent mod damage. Since that last save, I've installed: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=225http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1002http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3871 I really doubt one of them did it, but who knows. Can anyone explain why this is happening? I'd prefer not having to cheat and then have the game screw up later when I undo whatever this is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. SirPsycho117
And to be more specific, I haven't had much combat since that last save. Traveled a bit. Used carriage. Talked to some people in a few towns. I also went to a temple to try and remove diseases. Handofbane
This is a known bug, you just need to tough it out enough to get a skill up to have it fix itself. Alternatively, you can try finding a trainer and buying a point, which may or may not work (in theory it should, but I have not tried that myself). zetenrisiel
I made a post about this in the Tech support forum...Except mine was for two-handed Basically I used the console to buff then debuff my skill, and it returned to normal. I really didn't want to shell out that money or play time for training just to get back to where I was, so I figured this was the fastest way.modAV <attribute> <nn> Modifies value of attribute by <nn> amount ModAV modifies the attribute value by registering a permanent modifier (positive or negative) of the value stated. Displayed player attributes modified in this way will be highlighted (default is green text) to indicate a modifier ('buff' or 'debuff') is being applied. The full list of attributes is provided at Actor Value Indices so for you it would be~(open console)(type) player.modav onehanded 100~(close console)at this point your stat should now show up in green and the number should be your previous value+100~(open console again)(type) player.modav onehanded -100~(close console) Those were the exact steps I took to fix it. You may not need to open and close the console if you know what you are doing, but I am always paranoid and i like to check my results after each step. If you are using Xbox or PS3, shame on you, but I suppose the previously mentioned tactics will work. Hope this helps! bootliquor
Hello. I like to use : player.modav onehanded 1player.modav onehanded -1 This bug is from negative effects of rockjoint not being cured (from shrine or potion) even though it is removed in the magic/effects tab. It may also occur with other skill reducing diseases/poisons.
