psychoden
Hello. I just re-installed oblivion to have a fresh start with a new save file. I downloaded ~60 or so mods that I want to ultimately integrate in my game. among them, I installed the first 30 or so mods that I considered to be essential to have an enjoyable experience. I know that bod mods and texture mods may conflict with each other, so I have refrained from downloading anything that added new body shape or face or anything like that. I.E. I have yet to add the "beautiful people" mod or the Exnem mod etc etc. What I did add was many location mods and UI mods. Long story short, the screenshot shows my current OBMM that lists all the mod in my oblivion. Questions:1. Am I overdoing it? Will my game conflict as to be completely unplayable? If there's an occasional yellow exclamation mark or clipping of textures, I can deal with that... I just want to be able to play the game.2. Will these conflict as I add more mods? Some mods other than the face/bod mods that I want to add are the various companion mods and quest mods that add many tens of hours of gameplay. Povuholo
I'm not sure... Does the AWS Core esm change the weather in Cyrodiil, and the esp in the Shivering Isles, or is there an oblivion weather esp (which you don't use) and the core file does nothing by itself? Because if the Core changes the weather in Cyrodiil, it could conflict with the other weather changing mod you are using: Natural Weather.

Some mods other than the face/bod mods that I want to add are the various companion mods and quest mods that add many tens of hours of gameplay. I don't think you're overdoing it use many more mods than this. I use the Cosmetic Compilation (Ren's Beautiful People plus bonus eyes) and I also use Exnem's body replacer. I would put all the weather and atmosphere changing mods directly below Unoffical Patch. Deadly Reflex should always be last. Put Ren's Beautiful People (Or Cosmetic Compilation) directly before Deadly Reflex. Now that being said, I don't use Shivering Isles for the simple fact that I don't want to mess up my MOD compatibility. So I'm not sure how all of the MODS you listed are compatible with SI. If you have problems try disabling SI and see if that is the problem.
Sir Hygaard
If you have obmm installed, one of the utilities it has is to check whether any mods conflict. It will show you by color coding if there are problems.
bben46
Unfortunately the only real way to find out is to try it and see. There are far too many variables to take into account, such as which language version you are using, Which patches you installed and in what order, mod load order, various utility programs such as OBMM & OBSE, then some mods work fine with most others unless some other mod is present which works whether the other one is present or not. After that we get into your computer, hardware differences such as Nvidia or ATI, each one of which has at least a dozen variants, which video board driver set, motherboard & BIOS, differences in RAM modules on so on. There are at least as many variables I haven't listed as those I have. So, try it and see, then experiment until it works like you want it to. I recommend starting with the vanilla game fully patched and adding mods one at a time. That way you can find your incompatibilities much quicker. Then after you get all of the bugs ironed out, restart the game with a fresh character. The problem with this approach is that there are always great new mods to try. Sometimes I think we spend more time playing with the setup than playing the game - I know I do.
LukeTheSpook
for some strange reason, more of my mods worked when i got SI...
Sir Hygaard
that could be because maybe those mods required SI as well as original
